I
misplaced my camera and did not get to take any pictures up to this
point. I moved the sliding door to the outside wall and removed all
the Hardie(R) siding. I then
put drywall over the insulated walls. Notice the spot above the
door. A window will go
there.

Once the new custom window comes in I will
install it and trim it out to match the rest of the house. The porch slab was sloped for
water run off. It is problems like this that keeps me on my toes.
Fig. 3
The
window came in and I have it installed. I have to trim it out
now.
Fig. 4
My
customer didn't want me to modify the outside trim. So I used a
board to cut it to fit into the space between the door and the
exciting trim. All have to do is paint it
now.
Fig. 5
A
view of the inside shows the trim. I almost ran into a problem with
the area between the door and the window. Luckily my experience
kicked in. I use the top of the door casing for the window sill
skirt.
Fig. 6
The
outside is done and all is painted. I was able to get a paint chip
from the window manufacture so I could match the white paint to the
window.
