The customers of this house lives out of state.
They have someone watching it, obviously not close enough. What the
elements didn't do a burglar finished off. This is what the door looked
like.

I
measured the door and it is a 30 inch door. Guess what? The home
improvement stores do not have 30" exterior prehung doors. I
could wait 2 weeks or build one from scratch.

So that is what I did. I bought all the door
parts and built this door. I had to build the door at my house
because this house had no electricity. I caulked and painted the
door and jamb after installing it.

I
install the door and I ran into another problem. The door was a
little bit taller. So I notched the ceiling joist a little. Had this
been in the house I would have modified the door, not the joist.
