I'm always Under Construction

***

In 1985, just a short time out of high school. I started working for a remodeling company based out of Sapulpa OK. "BCD Construction" I worked for the late BC Daily and his son Barry. BC was one of those old school carpenters, who knew how to build a solid structure. He had a vast wealth of construction knowledge. I certainly learned a lot from him. I quit working with BCD Construction in 1988 when I started college in the field of Electronic Engineering.

I never really stopped working construction; I was always working on my house or helping out friends and family with their projects. I was always fascinated with home improvement how-to shows especially; "This Old House." Since then I have spent a lot of time learning new techniques and how to use new materials. I became a Firefighter in October of 2000, where I started working 24 hours on shift and 48 hours off shift. I decided to start my own home repair company in May 2001.

In college I took a marketing class and I receive many wonderful pointers. One pointer was how to name a company. So putting what I do in the company name was very important. Knowing that the home is where the heart is I wanted to make sure that the company name reflects what I do. So my first thought for the company name was Dr. Brokenhome. It didn't take my long to realize Dr. Brokenhome brings about the wrong message. So I went with Dr. Brokenhouse instead.

March 20th 2010, I spent one week in Haiti working on a school that was damaged during the major 7.0 earthquake took place on January 12, 2010. I help run wire for the electrician, installed all the plumbing and help with a roof. I know I have blessed a lot of people for a long time and that was my goal.

As of October 2011 I have been an established business for over 10 years. I am feeling a punch in the arm during this economic mess, but I am surviving and I am still as strong as ever. I have over 300 jobs on the books since 2001 and many are from repeating customers. I hold the highest grade that the BBB gives to business. I have an "A+". I am not an accredited member of the BBB (I have not have a paid for a premium membership). I plan to keep it that way.

I thank God for blessing Dr. Brokenhouse these past 10 years. I dedicated my business to God and plan to keep it that way. He has blessed me with a huge array of knowledge and artistic abilities to build whatever my eyes see. I care about what I do and believe that if I'm going to do the job it needs to be done right the first time. My general philosophy in Dr. Brokenhouse is your home is one of your largest investments and it needs to be taken care of and that is what I want to do.

In September, 2011 I was contacted by TV channels Fox23 and My41in Tulsa. I was given the opportunity to advertise with them at an awesome rate. We spent a month working on the details to produce the commercial. The first airing of the Dr. Brokenhouse commercial was shown very early on November 21, 2011. It will be shown 52 times all in one week toward the end of the month for 14 months.
